About the Illustrator

Oliver C. King Jr. is a retired employee of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System where he served as the Travel Specialist. He also worked in several positions at two major airlines.

Oliver was a competitive statewide swimmer in high school. He served honorably in the United States Army for two years, which  included a tour of duty in Vietnam. He attended both Queensborough Community College and New York University  studying psychology, music, and math.

Oliver is a self-taught artist, sculptor, and illustrator. His interests  include  contemporary and African art, Tai Chi, travel, gourmet cooking, and spending time with his family. He is married, and has two daughters andt three grandchildren..
